Lab Start Ups & New PIs
Welcome to UF! Whether you are new to the University or you are moving into a new role as a PI, we know that you are eager to get your lab up and running quickly while achieving compliance with all federal and state agencies. Review the resources on this page for a success path to running a lab at UF.
New PI Consultation
EH&S offers group or one-on-one consultations with new PIs and Lab Managers to help you properly set up your lab. During the session (either in-person or via Zoom) EH&S will review important items such as the Gator TRACS platform, required trainings, administrative requirements, and important safety information. Please submit the New PI Registration Form linked on this page to register for a session and create your Gator TRACS user profile.
EH&S maintains embedded Environmental, Safety & Compliance Officers (ESCOs) in various colleges across UF. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the embedded safety professional in your college, if applicable. If your college does not have an embedded safety professional, please contact gatortracs@ehs.ufl.edu to schedule a consultation.
